We held a 5k run to raise funds for Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 organization. Every year they pick 14 to 15 families from across the United States and pay for the survivors of loved ones that were killed in 100 % preventable car crashes to go to Colorado and have their loved ones honored on Pikes Peak.
It was an honor to have been invited in memory of Tim and Bridget and watch a runner participate in the Pikes Peak Ascent wearing Tim and Bridget’s name and holding their picture as they crossed the finish line at the summit of the mountain. The funds raised at our tiny local 5k helped the families being honored get to Colorado.
A once in a lifetime opportunity where we bonded with others who died in the same manner as Tim and Bridget. [image/jpeg]
